Donald Brashear, an enforcer for the N.H.L has a deal to fight MMA set for early June in Quebec. He still has to pass a medical and get a licence from the Quebec authorities. Brashear a brawler of sorts has played for teams like Montreal, Philadelphia, Washington, Vancouver and the Rangers.

The 6'3, 237 lb Brashear had 2,634 penalty minutes in 1,025 N.H.L games from 1993 to 2010, adding 85 goals and 120 assists. In my opinion a man at 39 years of age shouldn't be allowed to be able to enter the octagon. There's plenty of fish in the pool that have been training for several years and don't get a shot at it. To me this is publicity stunt and it shouldn't be allowed.

There should be rules set for these such instances where you need to be actively training for MMA for a minimum of at least 5 years.
